Throughout my life, I always remember Doris as being one of the most beautiful and elegant women I have been blessed to know. Her smile would light up the room. Doris always greeted me with a hug. Doris and I have had a friendship of over 60 some years, and many good times together. She was a gentle, kind and thoughtful person. I am lucky to have had her as my friend. My John knew Will growing up in Englewood, a wonderful family. When John ran for Arapahoe County Commissioner, Doris and Will were wonderful supporters all those many years starting in 1964. In the 1988 election, Doris opened her home and set up a phone bank for volunteers to come in and make calls to voters for the primary election. Through all their help, John won the election easily and we were so grateful for their generosity....
